It can be easy to make mistakes that can negatively impact your Search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns.
Here are a few common mistakes to avoid in SEM & how to fix them:
- Not conducting keyword research: Use tools like Google's Keyword Planner & Guava.au to identify the keywords & phrases your target audience is searching. Not finding these keywords can negatively impact your campaigns.
- Not using negative keywords: Not using negative keywords is another common mistake in SEM. By not refining your ad campaigns to ensure only targeting the most relevant audience can be very costly.
- Not monitoring & analysing campaigns: Use tools like Google Analytics and Guava.au to track ad spend, click-through rate, & conversion rate, don't spend an advertising budget ineffectively. Make every dollar count.
- Not A/B testing: Test different ad copy, images, & calls to action to see which perform the best, but also to remove things that don't work and safe on marketing budget. Use A/B testing to find marketing budget leaks.
